Sue Smith targets Grand National with Vintage Clouds

Vintage Clouds will have the Randox Health Grand National as his aim with a return to Aintree about the cards in the Becher Chase first.
Sue Smiths gray only got up to the very first fence in the National year, but prior to this he had been his usual consistent self and was a fine second in the Cheltenham Festival.
Rider Danny Cook, speaking for Go Racing on Monday at a press conference in Wetherby, confirmed Aintree was the aim once more, although he was favourite in which he had been sixth.
He jumped the first fence at Aintree also well and came back down , said Cook, who directed the Trevor Hemmings-owned nine-year-old at a spin with stablemate Sharp Response.
The strategy is to conduct him at the Becher Chase at November for some experience of those fences, before another attempt at the Grand National.
Cook was aboard his intended bet365 Charlie Hall Chase bracket at a gallop.
Hell confront the Best Ville Ben of Phil Kirby afterward and Kirby are also running stable star Lady Buttons .
Shes a celebrity and without her we would not be where we are now, said Kirby.
We anticipate returning to Wetherby with her in the start of November, for a race she won every year.
Ruth Jefferson was in attendance to talk about Waiting Patiently, who has flown the flag to the north in Grade One races for the past couple of season, even though his campaign didnt go to plan.
He also made his return in the King George and was brought down by Bristol De Mai
His jockey Brian Hughes said:Though we still had a mile and a half to go and that I couldnt be confident he would stay, he had been giving me a terrific feel.
We were moving quite quickly over the initial four fences, however, it felt as though he was just doing a hack canter.
